A lot has been happening this week at school, and in our class. We welcomed a lovely new class member with a friendly powhiri on Wednesday. That evening we had the International Food Festival with many of our class performing in the Kapa Haka and Haka Hiva groups, and 3 of our boys in the Glee Boys' group. It was lovely seeing so many families, ex-students, and the PTA enjoying the evening with our children. We have sold most of our seedlings and we now need to decide what to do with the money. We have worked very hard on our own fairy tales and drawn some amazing scenes from these stories. We are learning Te Huarere, the weather, in Te Reo. As a class we are reading a Des Hunt novel called "Whale Pot Bay" and the plot has got us gripped. As for telling the time, Mrs. Hughes will never have to look at the clock again because so many of us can confidently tell the time, and do so, all the time! Ka pai Room 12.
